Thorogood is excited to be hosting an in-person, afternoon seminar in London on November 17th about the data platform we consider to be the go-to for data engineering and data science at scale.

This enterprise-proven platform is now available on all of the three major clouds of Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, and has been a platform of choice for workloads from Cloud-based data engineering (ETL) to experimental data science to robust, reliable data lake engineering and storage to productionized Machine Learning (MLOps) and even data governance and lineage on top of Databricks-data.

We have architected and implemented Databricks-based design patterns for industry-leading organizations in the CPG, Pharmaceuticals and Financial Services sectors over the past 5 years, and we’re looking forward to explaining why it became a go-to platform, how it has evolved to become a more holistic in what it offers, and the potential of the various aspects of Databricks for enterprise organizations.

During this session, we will provide an overview of the Databricks platform, and then discuss and demonstrate some of the specific potential of the platform in terms of: data streaming, machine learning and operationalization of ML, Lakehouse and Delta- including Delta Live Tables, data governance and Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL and powerful integration with other tools.

After 2 hours of experience-based presentations and demonstrations on Databricks, we will have an opportunity for attendees to socialize and network and delve into these topics with Thorogood consultants, Databricks-qualified ‘Champions’, Databricks staff, and one another.
