Digital Marketer – Graduate – London

Thorogood is a growing IT consultancy specializing in Data & AI solutions for large multinational clients. We help some of the largest and best-known companies around the world to use data to improve their business.

Thorogood operates globally and has expanded into new territories over recent years, and we are currently recruiting for a full-time Digital Marketer based in London, to join our Global Marketing Team.

About the Job

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Content Marketing

  • Coordinate the publishing process from ideation through to editorial approval.
  • Liaise with consultants to develop ideas and content, providing recommendations for performance optimization by analyzing trends.
  • Provide robust copywriting and copyediting support for webpages, social media, and email marketing, ensuring attention to detail is central.
  • Source and create supporting graphics and imagery, using tools such as Canva and Photoshop.
  • Liaise and uphold relationships with various external agencies to create outputs, providing carefully curated creative briefings and clear direction.

Website

  • Work with WordPress CMS to manage the publishing of content.
  • Work with web agencies to develop webpages and website functionality in line with Thorogood’s evolving positioning and changing technical needs.
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic to enhance the user experience.

Social Media

  • Adapt long-form content to make this appropriate for Thorogood’s various social platforms.
  • Develop social media marketing strategies to support brand awareness, acquisition, and conversions.
  • Support consultants’ personal brand building initiatives with social media recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage performance and foster engagement within communities.
  • Shape and launch effective sponsored/performance marketing campaigns.

Email Marketing

  • Create and maintain a balanced email marketing schedule.
  • Leverage email marketing to drive engagement for events and on-demand content.
  • Manage distribution lists and email engagement trends to provide recommendations for improvements in Thorogood’s email marketing strategy.

CRM

  • Process and manage contacts and leads data to ensure marketing engagement tracking is effective and our contact database is up to date.
  • Analyze marketing engagements to provide support and input to early-stage sales activities.
  • Build intuitive reports using CRM data to demonstrate marketing success across the company.

Event Management

  • Plan and execute logistics and advertising for global webcasts, workshops, trainings, and seminars.
  • Encourage partner marketing initiatives by liaising and building relationships with partner contacts at Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft, etc.
  • Work alongside event agencies to manage budgets and secure locations for in-person events.
  • Assist with logistics planning and advertising efforts for in-person events.

Branding and Collaterals

  • Ensure all marketing outputs are consistently in line with Thorogood’s branding guidelines.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source branded stationery and marketing collateral for use at events.

About You

Given the global nature of our marketing, it is essential that you can work effectively with people at all levels across our UK, US, Brazil, Singapore, and India offices.

You will play a central role in supporting and coordinating our marketing activities to promote our global consultancy. You will also have specific responsibilities to drive our digital marketing activities forward, evolving in line with industry developments and best practice, and being a driver of change where appropriate. You must have a good understanding of social media/digital platforms for B2B organizations and be willing to stay up to date with the ever-changing landscape.

You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be willing to communicate marketing updates to various audiences. Attention to detail is crucial given the public-facing nature of our marketing, and you must have proven planning and organizational skills to handle various streams of activity. You should be able to work successfully within the team and collaborate with others outside of the Global Marketing Team, but also be a self-starter who can show initiative and take ownership of the role and responsibilities.

Additionally, an understanding of the following would be advantageous, though we support learning and training to fill gaps within these:

  • WordPress, HTML, and CSS
  • Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, Paid Advertising (PPC, Paid Search)
  • Marketing automation tools (Pardot)
  • Salesforce CRM for campaign and contact management
  • Graphical and design tools such as Photoshop, Canva, Illustrator
