Seminars
Seminars are morning events, run theatre-style, with around 30-60 attendees, and aim to give people a good understanding of important trends and technologies; they include presentations from industry experts and, where relevant, demonstrations of key aspects of leading edge applications and technology. Workshops
Workshops are opportunities for smaller groups of professionals, usually less than eight, to discuss issues and opportunities in greater depth in a round-table setting, but with presentations and facilitation by Thorogood experts. For details of specific events click workshops or to register for an event click here.
The aim of all our events is to share our experience and expertise with clients and potential clients in order to help build and maintain open relationships.
There is no hard sell - a fact acknowledged by a recent posting on a newsgroup which we shamelessly reproduce below:
"I'm quite often invited to 'seminars' that are thinly-veiled sales presentations, and just as often I decline. The other day I was given the opportunity to attend a "BI Update" hosted by Thorogood Associates, but seeing that Nigel Pendse was a speaker, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed. His review of the results of the OLAP Survey 4 was a top notch presentation - full of information, clear and elegant. I highly recommend it to any follower of this group given the same chance. The presentations given by Thorogood were also informative, and notable for their lack of hard sell. Overall, Thorogood provided a fine service that I thought ought to be acknowledged."
