A new evolution in BI technology
QlikView is a self titled ‘new evolution’ in Business Intelligence technology. It uses an in-memory data store that enables remarkable speed of access, removing the dependency on an OLAP database. With highly visual and interactive charts, grids and graphs, it enables business users to create and manage their own reports and dashboards. QlikView offers impressive speed of deployment, with the ability to merge multiple data sources without the need for a data warehouse. It is also offers scalability, allowing seamless addition of new data sources as required.

A unique approach
QlikView applies a different approach to that of traditional relational and OLAP BI technologies. You will get rich functionality coupled with the speed and flexibility of in-memory. Good data modelling is still required, along with knowledge of the expression language in order to take advantage of some of the most powerful functions, and with this you will be able to meet even the toughest requirements. 

What the analysts say
Nigel Pendse has found in his OLAP Survey 8 that QlikView had the most loyal customers out of all the BI vendors, suggesting that QlikView engenders steadfastness amongst users. Gartner has placed QlikView in the visionary section of its BI quadrant for the past 3 years, seeing a steady increase both in terms of completeness of vision and ability to execute.
